Jazz & Americana Artists Come Together In 2017

In the "Roaring 1920s" the advent of mass media allowed our forefathers to preserve their messages in records, cylinders, and print publishing. Hearing the first Jazz recording on Phonograph in 1917 would have felt like experiencing a first generation iPod in 2001. The Telegraph was as groundbreaking as streaming video is today, and the art of creating sound has benefited from a technological revolution.

At the end of the day, an artist's job is to bring the community together. Performing artists are already carrying technology in their pockets that allows them to stream their performances live, and fans have 24/7 access to their favorite performances.

Jazz & Americana artists from New Orleans & California are coming together to record Prohibition Records' inaugural album. We will be hitting the road in August for the album release, making in-store appearances at legal dispensaries through the Fall.

We'll report on our progress here, so bookmark this page and keep updated on Our Projects.
